The Grueling Truth’s CFL Week 10 Power Rankings

The Grueling Truth’s CFL Power Rankings for week 10 represent a nearly complete makeover from week 9. The Tiger-Cats are firmly in last place on this table, but every other team was mobile…

1) Calgary Stampeders

The Stampeders won a defensive battle 21-17 over the B.C. Lions. The Stamps have played well for the last month and a win over a very good B.C. team on the road, no matter how ugly it may have been, vaults them to number one on this list.

2) Winnipeg Blue Bombers

The Blue Bombers have now won four straight games and are playing as well as anybody in the CFL. Andrew Harris did it all for the Bombers, earning 120 receiving yards combined with 105 rushing yards. Matt Nichols added 390 yards through the air, a rushing touchdown and a touchdown pass.

Next Up:@Montreal Alouettes

3) Edmonton Eskimos

The Eskimos suffered there first loss of the season at Winnipeg, 33-26. The Eskimos have overcome injuries all year, but not even Mike Reilly could save them in Winnipeg. Reilly threw for well over 300 yards and 2 TDs but in the end it wasn’t enough. I know it seems harsh to drop the Eskimos form the no. 1 spot to 3rd after one close road loss, but I think Calgary and Winnipeg are playing better than the Eskimos at this point in the season.

4) B.C.Lions

The Lions have a top-flight roster, but they are not playing like it. The Lions need to look at making some coaching changes, especially at defensive coordinator.

5) Toronto Argonauts

The Argos are a different team when Ricky Ray is healthy and if you had any doubt about that, just look at the last two weeks.

Next Up:@Calgary

6) Saskatchewan Roughriders

Before the bye, the Riders looked sharp as they dominated the B.C. Lions. Can they continue to play at a high level?

Next Up:@Edmonton Eskimos

7) Montreal Alouettes

Just when you think Montreal is headed in the right direction, this happens!

Next Up: Host Winnipeg

8) Ottawa Redblacks

The good news: Ottawa finally got a win, the bad news it was just a win over the hapless Ti-Cats.

Next Up: Host BC Lions

9) Hamilton Tiger-Cats

The Ti-Cats are just a bad football team.
