2018 IFAF U19 World Championships: Team Australia announces roster

The Australians have arrived in Mexico City for the 2018 IFAF U19 World Championships and they have announced their 45 man roster.

Team Outback is scheduled to open the the World Championship tournament against two-time winner, the United States, Saturday, July 14 at 11 am local Mexican time (12 noon Eastern Standard Time, 6 PM Central European Time).

Australia will then play Sweden on Day 2 of the tournament, July 18. The final day of the championships is July 22.

This is the second time Australia has competed in the World Junior Championships. In the 2016 tournament held in Harbin, China, Australia finished sixth with a record of 2-2. Team Outback defeated China twice, 72-0 and 74-0 but lost to Team Japan 42-0 and Austria 43-13.

This is the fifth edition of the IFAF U19 World Championships. Canada is the defending champion after beating Team USA in the gold medal final two years ago in Harbin. Canada and the United States have won the title twice each.
