LIVESTREAM: CEFL – Kragujevac Wild Boars (Serbia) @Calanda Broncos (Switzerland) Sat., May 25, 6p CEDT (12p EDT)

The Calanda Broncos will be looking to wrap up the Central European Football League East Conference Saturday, May 25 when they play host to Serbia’s Kragujevac Wild Boars in Chur, Switzerland.

The Broncos overwhelmed Turkey’s Koc Rams two weeks ago whipping them 55-17 in Istanbul and a win today will put them in a title game. Calanda opened the tournament with a big 27-3 road win over Poland’s Wroclaw Panthers which gives them an edge in the race for first place in the conference.

The Swiss team is led by QB Conner Manning has thrown six touchdown passes in the wins over Wroclaw and the Rams. His main target has been Lukas Lütscher who has caught four touchdown passes so far. Calanda has a host of other  weapons though including running backs Tino Muggwyler, Erik Rageth and Steffen Haenelt . The team sits second in the Swiss National League standings with a 5-1 record.

After the Wild Boars posted a 53-36 win over the Rams in their CEFL opening game, they suffered their worst ever loss as they were embarrassed by Poland’s Wroclaw Panthers 70-13 two weeks ago in Wroclaw, Poland. They will be looking to rebound today and could be dangerous. QB Jake Sisson has thrown seven touchdown passes in the two games, four of them to Pedro Medici in the win over the Rams. The other three were caught by Filip Nedeljković, and Stefan Borković (2).

Kragujevac remains unbeaten in the Serbian League of American Football with a 5-0 record and averaging almost 50 points a game.

The Wild Boars will definitely be looking to redeem themselves today so Calanda cannot take them lightly despite the lopsided loss to Wroclaw.
