Badalona Dracs rolling in Spain; Cobras and Black Demons also unbeaten

The defending champion Badalona Dracs (2-0) continued to dominate in Spain after the third weekend of action as they rolled over the L’Hospitalet Pioners 34-6.

Badalona quarterback Seri Gonzalo threw four touchdown passes, two to Edu Morians and two to Brandon Ravenel who also added two, two-point conversions.  The Dracs roared out to an 18-0 lead at halftime and despite the Pioners converting a fumble into a touchdown, managed to score twice more in the fourth for a comfortable win.

LG Las Rozas Black Demons 37 – Osos Rivas 35

In other action, the  LG Las Rozas Black Demons recovered a fumble on an Osos Rivas two-point attempt with under two minutes remaining and scored the two points themselves to break a tie and earn a heart-stopping 37-35 win.

Marcos de la Mata was outstanding for the Black Demons scoring two touchdowns, one on a punt return. Las Rozas fell behind 26-14 in the second half but quarterback Jason Gaines threw two touchdown passes and scored one himself to pace the Black Demons.

Osos running back Jonathan Pan scored two rushing touchdowns while quarterback Gabe Losada threw touchdown passes to Clinton Greenaway  (2) and Álvaro Guitián kicked a field goal. The Osos defense forced two safeties as well but to no avail.

Murcia Cobras 45 – Valencia Giants 18

The Murcia Cobras stayed undefeated after dominating the Valencia Giants 45-18 as Angel Clemente, filling in a quarterback for the injured Jordan Perry, tossed touchdown passes to Francisco Javier Martinez, Cory Holmes and Andrés Jesús Cánovas while running in two himself.

Other action

The Coslada Camioneros had no trouble with the Alicante Sharks shutting them out 35-0 while the Gijón Mariners overwhelmed the Galician Black Ravens 49-0.

The Badalona Dracs (2-0), Murcia Cobras (3-0) and Las Rozas Black Demons (3-0) are all unbeaten and lead their respective divisions.
