The Braunschweig New Yorker Lions, Germany’s Top Team, Sign New Quarterback

The Braunschweig New Yorker Lions, Germany’s top team and one of the best teams in Europe, announced the signing of quarterback Grant Enders. He replaces Casey Therriault.

The 6’3″ 215 lb, 23-year-old native of Baltimore, Maryland played college football at Towson University (Towson, Maryland – Div I FCS), where he helped guide the Tigers to the division championship (CAA Colonial Athletic Association) in both 2011 and 2012.

In his first season (2011) for TowsonEnders secured the job as starting quarterback and by the end of the season had thrown for more than 2,000 yards rushed for another 500 yards. With a strong arm and excellent scrambling ability, Enders  accounted for 21 touchdowns and led his team to nine wins.

Grant Enders2 In his senior year (2012)  Enders threw for 2,332 yards, and rushed for 600 yards while accounting for 25 touchdown, which earned him  2nd Team All-CAA honors as he led the Tigers to seven wins and a second CAA title in a row.

Before joining Towson, he played one year at the Lackawanna Junior College (Pennsylvania), where he led the Falcons to nine wins in 11 games and was named to the 1st Team All-Northeast Conference.
