VIDEO: Porto Alegre Pumpkins “Não é fácil” Campaign Goes Viral

Earlier this year, the Porto Alegre Pumpkins innovated by launching a campaign in search of sponsorship and support for their club. The Pumpkins of the gaucho state capital aim to spread the American football culture in Rio Grande do Sul and throughout Brazil.

The video titled “Não é fácil” (It’s not easy in English) shows a utopian scenario for the football lovers in the country.

What if our oval ball was Brazil’s most popular sport rather than the traditional soccer?
How would Brazil be if the Brazilians liked American football more than another sport?
Would we have other idols?
Would we count the distances differently?
Would we have another name for Volkswagen Gol? (one of Brazil’s most popular cars)

The Pumpkins’ satirical clip shows the opposite of reality faced by today’s Brazilian teams. Reality has shown us it’s very hard to support American football here in Brazil. We like wrong football or as Pumpkins players prefer to say #FutebolErrado.

Pumpkins3The clip went viral in the community of American football lovers in Brazil. Through today, the film has been viewed 325,000 times on Facebook, had 6,464 shares and 5,410 likes on the team’s official page.

We (Pumpkins) appreciate all the support and support of the fans, that’s what we every day go further. We rely on disclosure to make this sport more and more known throughout Brazil. Let’s spread the American Football in Brazil. Thank you!
