Germany: Allgäu Comets sign RB Lennies McFerren

The Allgäu Comets of the German Football League have signed running back Lennies McFerren (Southeast Missouri State, NCAA Div. I FCS) for the 2019 season.

The 28 year old McFerren, 5’9″, 200 lb, is a native of New Madrid, Missouri, but now calls Paris, Tennessee as his hometown, He played seven games with the Braunschweig New Yorker Lions in 2018 before suffering an injury. He rushed for 412 yards and seven touchdowns. In 2017, while playing for the Ravensburg Razorbacks in the GFL2, he rushed for 1,985 yards and 26 touchdowns averaging 6.1 yards a carry.

In his senior year at Southeast Missouri State (2014) he rushed for 607 yards, averaging almost five yards a carry.

The Comets reached the GFL quarterfinals in 2018 where they lost to the Dresden Monarchs.
