Germany: Stats leaders remain unchanged as regular season nears end

With only three weekends left in the 20 week German Football League regular season, AFI takes a look at the passing, receiving, rushing and tackling leaders in Germany for the seventh time this season.

It looks like no one will dislodge the two Dresden Monarchs players who have led two categories almost the entire season. WR Mitchel Paige remains as the top receiver and LB AJ Wentland the leading tackler.

The Allgäu Comets, Dresden Monarchs and Potsdam Royals all have three players among the Top 5 in 4 categories. Following them with 2 are the Munich Cowboys.   The Cologne Crocodiles, Stuttgart Scorpions, Kiel Baltic Hurricanes, Hamburg Huskies, Marburg Mercenaries, Berlin RebelsFrankfurt Universe, Braunschweig New Yorker Lions and the Schwabisch Hall Unicorns all have one.

The absences are the Hildesheim Invaders, Kirchdorf Wildcats and Ingolstadt Dukes who do not have any players on the lists.

Passing

Allgäu Comets QB Justin Sottilare retains the passing lead with 3,777 yards and a league-best 40 TDs although he only had 88 yards passing in a loss to the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns this past weekend. Sottilare has set a record for passing attempts in a game (84), and still leads the GFL in average yards per game with 343.4. Trenton Norvell of the Dresden Monarchs holds on to 2nd although the Monarchs were idle this past weekend. He has 3,158 yards and 37 TDs.  Munich Cowboys QB Trenton Miller is still 3rd with 3,047  yards but is closing the gap after throwing for 402 yards in a win over the Marburg Mercenaries. Schwabisch Hall Unicorns QB Marco Ehrenfried has moved back up and is now 4th with 2,657 yards. Braunschweig New Yorker Lions QB Jadrian Clark is 5th with 2,559 yards and 35 TD passes.

He has had 3 games of 20+ tackles.Neil Howey of the Marburg Mercenaries stays 2nd after recording 14 tackles in his team’s loss to the Munich Cowboys.
