The Hudl Combine, Cutting Edge Software From Hudl

Hudl is taking the next step in sports software. They have released a new mobile app called Hudl Combine.

Hudl recently teamed up with Nike to design the app for high school  and youth-age football players. The app generates scores for the players based off four events: the 40-yard dash, the agility shuttle, a standing vertical jump, and a power ball toss or bench press.

Hudl Combine is currently available only on the iPhone and for Hudl athletes listed on football teams. The app enables users to navigate between a variety of tabs. The tabs consist of Leaderboard, Improve, Record, The Opening and My Ratings tabs. Players have the option to choose which events they want to record and can even let a friend record for them.

With the app, players can submit their score and receive a verified Nike+ Football Rating to get feedback from Nike. The app aims for athletes to showcase their ratings on the Nike national leaderboards. Top scorers in the leaderboard receive an invitation to The Opening, which features 160 of the country’s best high school football players. The partnership aims to increase the competitiveness for the notable event where athletes have the opportunity to learn from and compete against the best in the game via training sessions.

In order to get a Nike Football Rating users must complete four events in and then Hudl representatives will verify each performance and give it a Nike Football Rating. There are three mandatory events, which are; the vertical jump, 40- yard dash and the agility shuttle. The fourth event gives the players the option to select the power ball toss or the bench press.

After completing the all four events, you can see how you can improve your score with the Nike+ feedback on your Nike+ account. Hudl Combine will also feature training videos from Nike athletes. More high school players will have a chance to be recognized by Nike when using the app, which could help during recruiting time.

Hudl has an estimated one million student-athletes who upload highlight videos. For those athletes and coaches already using Hudl, this gives you yet another option to showcase your skills and work on your game.

For those new to Hudl or on the fence, now is the time to join and get used to the software during the offseason. This software can help you elevate your game!
