Iceland: Reykjavik Einherjar roll over Germany’s Cologne Falcons
Iceland’s Reykjavik Einherjar won their third game of 2018 and fifth overall Saturday when they beat up on the Cologne Falcons from Germany, whipping them 50-0 in Kópavogur, Iceland.
Quarterback Bergþór Phillip Pálsson threw three touchdown passes and rushed for another two in the convincing win.
“We are on the right track. We are trying to prove ourselves to be able to enter international tournaments in Europe and it’s going well.”
Receiver Thor Gauti hauled in two touchdown passes and Lukie Wildung one. Ingi Þór Kristjánsson added another touchdown on the ground.
The Einherjar get no rest though as they now prepare to face Sweden’s Tyreso Royal Crowns Saturday, November 4 at Akranes field in Reykjavik.
