Krown Countdown recaps Week 7 in Canadian college football

American Football International has teamed up with Krown Countdown U and Canada’s CBC Sports to bring complete coverage of the Canadian college football scene.

Every week, Krown Countdown U follows the Canadian college football season on CBC Sports, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s sports station.

The show recaps mainly college football games, features, news and analysis of the week’s upcoming games with additional content focusing on Canadian content in NCAA football, Football Canada national teams, and the Canadian Junior Football League.

This week on Krown Countdown U, Jim Mullin, Gord Randall and Mike Hogan look at the two Canadians having an impact for the Ohio Bobcats, quarterback Nathan Rourke from Oakville, Ontario and running back Maleek Irons from Chilliwack, BC. Rourke threw for 273 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 189 yards and another touchdown while Irons had 13 carries for 140 yards and two touchdowns in a Bobcats 58-42 win over UMass. CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie answers questions on the show from Mullin about the Canadian Football League’s new initiative, CFL 2.0, which aims to take the Canadian game international.
