LIVE STREAM PPV: CFL – Ottawa REDBLACKS @Winnipeg Blue Bombers 8p EDT Sept. 22 ( 2a Sept.23 CEST)

The Ottawa REDBLACKs head into Investor’s Group Field in Winnipeg Friday night to take on a Winnipeg Blue Bombers team that beat them on a last-play field goal the last time these two teams met six weeks ago.

Since then, Winnipeg has won five of their last six games while the REDBLACKS have won four of five. The win over Ottawa ignited the Bombers who went on a tear and now sit second in the West behind Calgary but ahead of the Edmonton Eskimos in third.

Ottawa has surged from third to first in the East but with both Toronto and the rejuvenated Hamilton Tiger-Cats hot on their heels.

However, neither team sits secure in the standings.

Winnipeg leads the league in offense, averaging 34.5 points a game while the REDBLACKs have the second best defense giving up 24 points a game.

This could well be a duel of quarterbacks with Trevor Harris of Ottawa having thrown for 3,724 yards and a league-leading 23 touchdowns. His favorite target and also tops in the league in receiving is Greg Ellingson who has hauled in 72 catches for 1,123 yards and seven touchdowns.

Winnipeg quarterback Matt Nichols has the highest QUAR rating in the CFL so far at 89.5. He has thrown for 3,287 yards and 22 touchdowns while tossing seven interceptions. His leading receiver is Darvin Adams with 766 yards and seven touchdowns.

Bombers running back Andrew Harris is third in the league in rushing with 656 yards but has also caught 69 passes for 588 yards.

Six of Ottawa’s seven losses have been by four points or less and they have tied one.
