LIVESTREAM: Germany – Marburg Mercenaries #19 @Kirchdorf Wildcats, June 2, 4p (10a EST)

The Marburg Mercenaries, (2-1), Europe #19, take on the Kirchdorf Wildcats (1-2-1) for the second time this season on June 2 in German Football League action from Energie Arena in Kirchdorf.

In the opening game of the year, Marburg had no trouble handing the Wildcats a 33-7 defeat. Since then, the Mercenaries have lost to the Frankfurt Universe and then edged the Munich Cowboys 33-30. The Wildcats have beaten Stuttgart and tied Ingolstadt but lost to Schwäbisch Hall in addition to losing to Marburg.

In the previous game between these two, Marburg quarterback Alexander Thury threw for 259 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Silas Nacita and Andrecus Lindley scored a touchdown each. Thury is averaging 239 yards passing a game so far and Nacita is one of his favorite targets with 18 catches for 272 yards.

Kirchdorf quarterback Cameron Birse has thrown for 444 yards and three touchdowns so far with Clemens Erlsbacher hauling in 13 for 332 yards and a touchdown.

With an offense that is only averaging just over 10 points a game, the Wildcats clearly need to step up. They have a chance in this game. Their defense held the powerful Unicorns to nine first half points two weeks ago before losing 29-0. With a defense that can perform at times that well, any kind of offensive turnaround could well make a difference.
