LIVE STREAM: Sweden v. Denmark – Nordic U-19 Championships Continue

The Nordic U-19 American Football Championships continue today in Vantaa, Finland as Team Sweden plays their first game against Denmark in the three country tournament involving Finland, Sweden and Denmark.

The host country Finland opened the tournament defeating Team Denmark 56-14

The tournament concludes Saturday October 22, when Finland and Sweden will tangle.

This tournament has been held every other year since 1999. Sweden has won the title six times including the last four. Team Finland has captured the title four times.

Finland finished second in the 2014 tournament in Bornholm, Denmark after beating Denmark while the Danes defeated the Finns four years ago to finish second after Sweden.

Denmark will have to regroup quickly after their 56-14 shellacking at the hands of the host Finns. Niklas Hansen, who scored both Danish touchdowns in that game, will have to be on Sweden’s radar.

Meanwhile, Sweden’s head coach Andreas Ehrenreich, who also doubles as head coach of Sweden’s senior team, has a seasoned 40 man roster with three teams represented by five players each: the Örebro Black Knights, Uppsala 86ers and the Karlskoga Wolves.
