LIVESTREAM: Team Japan Faces Mexico For Bronze Medal In 2016 IFAF U19 World Championship

Team Japan and Team Mexico square off Sunday July 10 to decide the winner of the bronze medal in the 2016 IFAF Under-19 World Championship in Harbin, China.

This will be the first time since the inaugural IFAF U19 World Championships in 2009, that the two teams will play each other for the bronze medal. Japan beat Mexico in 2009 47-27 for the bronze. Since then Japan has won the bronze once in 2012 while Mexico took bronze in the 2014 tournament beating Austria in the process 31-30.

Japan opened the tournament beating Australia 42-0 but was trounced by Team USA 50-20 in a game which saw the United States score 41 points in the second half. Mexico lost to Canada 30-16 in their tournament opener but then downed Austria 46-7 only to lose again to Canada 28-21 in the game to determine a berth in the gold medal game.

In the game to determine fifth and sixth, Austria defeated Australia 43-13.
