New England Patriots owner wants his team to play in Germany

Will we see an NFL game on the European continent soon?

If New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has his way, it will be sooner rather than later.

According to the German magazine, Bild-Zeitung, Kraft wants his team play a game in Germany.

“I’ve already told NFL boss Roger Goodell that we should play one of the London games in Germany. I want us to be the first team to play in Germany. “

The magazine mentions the Berlin Olympic Stadium as a possible venue.

So far,  four games have been scheduled to be held in London in the 2019 season. Two games each at Wembley Stadium and the New White Hart Lane, home stadium of the Tottenham Hotspur, which is still under construction. The NFL has not yet announced which teams will play in those games. NFL games have been held annually in the English capital since 2007 with the corresponding contract running until 2020.

NFL games have been held in Mexico on a regular basis in recent years although this year’s game was moved at the last minute from Azteca Stadium to the Los Angeles Coliseum.
