New passing leader in German Football League

With four games remaining in the German Football League there is a new passing leader as Ingolstadt Dukes QB Rick Webster has overtaken season-long leader Marco Ehrenfriend of the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns.  The Kiel Baltic Hurricanes have players leading in two of the four categories.

Passing

Rick Webster of the Ingolstadt Dukes has leapfrogged into 1st with 2,946 yards passing and 31 TD passes. Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns quarterback Marco Ehrenfried has slipped into 2nd for the first time with 2,917 yards passing and 36 passing TDs.  Casey Therriault of the New Yorker Lions with his 2,673 passing yards has moved up into 3rd. Dresden Monarchs QB Garrett Safron is  now 4th in passing yardage with 2,472 yards and  and 32 TDs. Australian Jared Stegman of the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes  has slid two spots down to 5th  with 2,613 yards and a league-leading 41 TDs.

Receiving

Kiel WR Xavier Mitchell remains the leading receiver in the German Football League with 1,124 and 14 touchdown receptions. Not surprisingly, New Yorker Lions WR Niklas Römer is still 2nd with 1,044 yards and 13 TDs while Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns receiver Tyler Rutenbeck has advanced to 3rd with 886 yards, His teammate Nate Robitaille has moved down to 4th with 874 yards receiving and a league-leading 15 TD catches. Alexander Tounkara of the Berlin Rebels has dropped one spot to 5th with 817 yards and 10 TDs.

Rushing

Kiel Baltic Hurricanes RB Chris McClendon has dominated the rushing stats in the GFL in 2017 and he still the leads after 10 games. He has rushed for 1,439  yards and 15 TDs. RB Kevin Parks of the Cologne Crocodiles is now 2nd with 1,039 yards and 13 TDs  Frankfurt’s Silas Nacita had a quiet game last week and has moved down to 3rd  with 1,019 yards and 11 TDs. . Veteran New Yorker Lions RB David McCants is the 4th leading rusher in Germany with 1,015  yards and 12 TDs. Fabien Gaertner of the 3-10 Munich Cowboys  is 5th with 760 yards but with 13 TDs.

Tackling

Michael Taylor of the 7-3 Marburg Mercenaries remains the top tackler in the GFL for the second week with his 133 tackles, Munich Cowboy LB Jeremiah Maluia has moved past teammate Ryan Newell into 2nd with his 114 tackles.  Newell who has missed two games, drops to 3rd with 111 tackles. He led the GFL in tackles in 2013 and 2014 with the Cowboys.  Allgau Comets LB Niall Padden as usual is among remains 4th with 101 tackles and Bijan Jelvani of the Saarland Hurricanes has entered the list for the first time with 94 total tackles in 11 games.
