Power Ranking the Top 9 QBs in the CFL After Week 8

The Grueling Truth

Due to inevitable injury, the Grueling Truth’s CFL QBs Power Rankings get shuffled around a bit this week. Toronto Argonauts quarterback Ricky Ray is not listed this week because he is out with an injury. With that being said, there are two BC Lions QBs listed…

1) Mike Reilly, Edmonton Eskimos

The Eskimos are still unbeaten and Reilly had an excellent game against Ottawa in a 27-20 win. Reilly threw for 317 yards, with two passing TDs and two rushing TDs. He has been the most consistent QB in the CFL this year.

2) Bo Levi Mitchell, Calgary Stampeders

Mitchell , like Reilly has been consistently good all year and the Stamps look like they are on another run that they are notorious for this time of the year.

3) Matt Nichols, Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Nichols has really stepped his game up over the last three weeks and has the Bombers offense clicking. He has limited turnovers and has played better in the second half in each of the last three games.

4) Trevor Harris, Ottawa Redblacks

Harris has played well all year with 16 TDs against four interceptions; the Redblacks just haven’t been able to finish games. I would still take Harris over any of the CFL QBs ranked below him.

5) Travis Lulay, B.C.Lions

Lulay did not start this past week, but he did get in the game after it was pretty much already lost. It was not one of his better performances, but it wasn’t a good night for anyone on the Lions.

6) Darian Durant, Montreal Alouettes

Durant has the Als in first place after leading the Als to a 21-9 win over the Argonauts. Durant threw 2 TD passes in the first half to lead the way.

7) Kevin Glenn, Saskatchewan Roughriders

Glenn bounced back from a terrible performance last week to led the Riders over the Lions. Glenn needs to be more consistent — if he is, the Riders could make an improbable playoff run.

8) Jonathon Jennings, BC Lions

Jennings was more than rusty in the Riders blowout loss to Saskatchewan as he threw three interceptions in the first half.

9) Zach Collaros, Hamilton Tiger-Cats

The Ti-Cats are just a bad team at the moment.
