Regular season touchdown leaders in Serbia

The eight-team Serbian American Football League regular season has ended with the wild card playoffs about to start. It is no surprise that the top four teams in the league – Kragujevac Wild Boars, SBB Vukovi Belgrade, Novi Sad GAT Dukes and Belgrade Blue Dragons – dominate the list of touchdown leaders.

Passing

SBB Vukovi Belgrade QB Lewis Kindle topped the Serbian league in passing touchdowns with 15 while also sliding in as the third best rushing touchdown scorer. He accounted for more than half of Vukovi’s 232 points scored in the regular season. Mladen Zlatic of the run-dominated Belgrade Blue Dragons surprisingly ends up second on this list with 14 passing TDs. Sirmium Legionaries quarterback Tyler DeMent finished third with 10 TDs while Chris Griggs of the Novi Sad GAT Dukes threw eight TD passes to wind up fourth. Dalton Oliver joined the Wild Boars with only two games left in the season and yet threw six passing TDs good for fifth.

Receiving

Belgrade Blue Dragons receiver Milan Mikolic led the Serbian league in touchdown receptions in 2017 with eight. Strahinja Stepovic of the Wild Boars finished the year with seven TDs good for second. Vukovi’s Nikola Simovic wound up third with five TD receptions while teammate Mario Lugonja was right behind with four. Finally Stefan Borković of the Meridian Inđija Indians finished fifth.

Rushing

Novi Sad Dukes running back Jermichael Selders rushed for 10 TDs in seven games in 2017 to lead the Serbian league. He also had two TD receptions. Vukovi’s Duane Brady scored eight TDs rushing while teammate and QB Lewis Kindle had seven. Cameron Mayfield also rushed for seven TDs for the Pancevo Panthers while Laurent Tshimanga added six TDs for Kragujevac.
