Coach Leijten, Head Coach of the GFL Dresden Monarchs, has a wealth of experience and has coached all over the world. Not only was Coach Leijten a member of the Amsterdam Admirals (NFL Europe) coaching staff for many years, but currently also holds the position of Head Coach of Team Australia and will lead them to the IFAF World Cup championships in Canton, Ohio this July.

The first part of the clinic, which is full, is for players with coaches looking on. Twenty players in pads – all linebackers, defensive linemen and defensive backs – will receive instruction from 4 to 6 PM. After the break, at 7:30 PM 35 coaches will learn more about the 30 front and pressure defense from Coach Leijten and crew.

John Leijten has flown back to Europe from Australia in the midst of preparations for the World Championships to participate in this clinic.

This is a fantastic chance to pick up a lot of valuable knowledge.  The goal remains the same – working together to improve the level of American football in Belgium and Europe.

There is no charge for this clinic and there is space left so coaches can still sign up on the Antwerp Diamonds Facebook page.
