Teams from Poland, Brazil Form International Partnership

In yet another bold move, the Criciúma Miners from Brazil have extended their partnership strategy to Eastern Europe by affiliating with Poland’s Warsaw Sharks. The Miners have previously setup a partnership with fellow Brazilian club, Sao Paolo’s Lusa Lions.

The Miners and Sharks have struck a partnership to exchange operational and football knowledge, a move that promises the Miners as well as the greater Brazilian American football community developmental benefits.

The Criciúma Miners General Manager, Felipe Pereira, was in Warsaw for work, and reached out to Sharks officials.

“We met in my hotel and talked football for hours and exchanges idea and vision. For now the concept is to exchange ideas, discuss common struggles, share strategies that are working or not.

It is exciting to knows what can come out of this!”

The Sharks play in the Polska Liga Futbolu Amerykańskiego (PLFA) TopLiga, the highest level of American football in the country. The Miners are currently playing in the Brazil’s Federação Catarinense de Futebol Americano (FCFA), and will participate in the regional Copa Sul, or South Cup, in the second half of this year.
