Watch Video Highlights Of Argentina’s Rosario, Córdoba Leagues
The top teams in Argentina’s Córdoba and Rosario nine-man American football city leagues have emerged in August (those who have already a place at each bowl).
The Orcs will play in the in the Rosario league’s Flag Bowl and the Coyotes will play in Córdoba’s Docta Bowl. The leagues are still trying to produce the last two teams that will challenge these top two (the Spartans are a probable rival in Rosario and Centaurs or the Rookies Cóndores in Córdoba).
Rosario Football League
Spartans 6 – Celtic 0
Javier Torres scored the only touchdown of the game on a punt return as the Spartans beat the Celtic 6-0.
Orc 16 – Hyenas 0
The Orc’s Federico Protti scored on a 32 yard touchdown run while defensive back Julian Daniele took an interception back 38 yards to beat the Hyenas.
Kicker Part Gaston kicked a 26 yard field goal as well.
Orc 13 – Spartans 0
Federico Protti scored on a 22-yard run capping a five play, 82 yard drive while kicker Part Gaston added the PAT. Then Julian Daniele, caught a 22-yard touchdown pass from Albano Scorza.
Córdoba Football League
Condors 8 – Centaurs 0
The Condors blanked the Centaurs 8-0 after Nicolas Moreno picked up a fumble and ran it in for the touchdown.
Coyotes 34 – Condors 0
The Coyotes overwhelmed the Condors 34-0. Quarterback G.P Vincente threw two touchdown passes while P. Vincenti scored two on the ground. E D’Amato added another for the win.
