14th Bavarian Coaches Convention kicks off

The 14th Annual Bavarian Coaches Convention is set to kick off at the Adidas “Halftime” Center in Herzogenaurach, Germany (not far from Nuremberg) Feb. 9-10 and it has broken records again with a list of speakers that is more than impressive.

More than 300 coaches will be on hand to listen to a total of 10 speakers over the two days of the convention. In fact, so many coaches applied that registration was closed well before the convention.

Headlining the list of speakers/coaches are Sean Shelton, quarterback of Austria’s defending champion, Swarco Raiders, along with Al Blazek, offensive line Coach NIU (OL – Fundamentals ZONE Running), Brian Michalowski, defensive analyst at the University of Colorado (formerly DC with Cologne Falcons of the German Football League), Johannes Brenner, defensive coordinator of  Germany’s Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns, Phil Ockinga, University of South Dakota (Fundamentals ZONE Running) and Sammy Schmale, NFLE.

A representative from HUDL will also be on hand.

Sean Shelton has become one of the finest quarterbacks to ever play in Europe. Since arriving in France in 2014 playing for the Elincourts Templiers he has amassed one French MVP trophy along with a Finnish title with the Helsinki Roosters and three Austrian championship crowns with the Raiders. He has helped the Raiders win two Central European Football League championships and been named Austrian Football League MVP twice.

Shelton to speak on his experiences playing in Europe as well as on the development of young quarterbacks.
