Ecuador – Lobos de Quito undefeated midseason leaders

Halfway through the fourth match week of the seven-game season and the Lobos de Quito maintain a dominant lead on top of the rest of the FFAE pack. In last week’s match, the Lobos destroyed their cross-town rivals in the “Capital Classic” against the Berserkers de Quito (Norte). Final score: 71-0, with an incredible team effort and a breakout game for the new import Ricardo Coelho (video) from Sao Jose, Santa Catarina, Brasil.

Coming in second are the Colorados de Santo Domingo, who have rolled over their competition recently after losing their first match to the Lobos de Quito in the season opener. The Berserkers surprisingly maintain a 3rd position in the national rankings, although they are 1 game behind the rest after it was ruled they must repeat their season opener mandated by the president of the league.

The 4th place Caimanes de Guayaquil face off versus 5th place Condores in a battle for positions. In 6th, 7th and 8th follow Troyanos de Cuenca, Osos de Porto Viejo and Kraken de Quito (Sur).

The last two games of the fourth games out of seven will take place in two weeks on the 1st of July. This coincides with the leagues trade deadline.
