Germany: Potsdam Royals sign DE/TE Jerome Valbon

The Potsdam Royals have signed tight end/defensive end Jerome Valbon from France.

The versatile, 6’3″, 265-pound Valbon playing both tight end and defensive end, helped the Rostock Griffins to a 7-3 record in the GFL2 North in 2021 after being out of football for a couple of seasons. In 2018, the Paris, France native was a member of the French national that won the IFAF European Championship title defeating Team Austria 28-14 in the final. That season, Valbon was also the leading receiver (23 receptions, 272 yards, 3 TDs) for the Wasa Royals, semifinalists in Finland’s Maple League.

Valbon played his college football in Canada with the University of Bishop Gaiters (2016/2017) after spending two seasons at Cégep de Thetford, a junior college located in Thetford Mines, Quebec.

The 28-year-old Parisian started his career playing for the Evry Corsaires in the south of Paris.
