The NFL Academy participates in the GIFT event for a second time and faces The Hun School of Princeton, whose roster features several standouts already committed to play Division I college football.

At the 2023 GIFT games, the NFL Academy lost 34-24 to Bonner & Prendie from Pennsylvania. The NFL Academy is an elite football development program for student-athletes. It looks to combine full-time education with transformative life skills and character development. The NFL Academy has two campuses, one in Loughborough’s world-renowned centre of sporting excellence.

The Hun School, which was founded in 1914, posted a 9-1 record last season and participates at GIFT for the first time.

“Facing a program like the NFL Academy is a tremendous challenge and a rare opportunity,” said football Hun School head coach Todd Smith. “They’re one of the top developmental programs in the world, and testing ourselves against that level of talent will only make us better. It gives our players a chance to compete on an international stage, represent our school with pride, and continue building the discipline and brotherhood that define our team.”

The United States Ambassador to Ireland Edward S. Walsh will be in attendance for the first half of the game.
