The American Football Ireland Junior Irish Wolfhounds U19s will play host to the Kiski School (Pittsburgh, PA) at Energia Park, Donnybrook, Dublin in an event that brings together the most experienced coaches in Ireland at each position to provide focused and advanced training to elite players at both the senior and youth level. This will be the third time that the Wolfhounds have participated in the tournament.

Last year the Wolfhounds started strong against the Great Britain U19s, but finished on the losing side, while in 2023 they fell to a 22-0 defeat to Community School of Naples from Florida.

The Kiski School from Saltsburg, Pennsylvania, went 6-3 in 2024 and has a roster featuring international players from several nations.

Quarterback Jaivin Peel is a transfer student who threw for 2,889 yards and 33 touchdowns as a freshman for the Western Golden Beavers and 2,542 yards and 29 touchdowns as a sophomore.

“I think it’s going to be a great experience for them to see another country from a cultural perspective and learn more about Ireland and their sports teams,” said first year head coach of the Kiski School Aaron Smetanka. “Our guys are excited to play their opening game overseas. Having the opportunity to live in a college dorm setting will be great for them as they’re considering that next step in their life and education.”
