In a nail-biting finish, the AFC Vienna Vikings (2-1) narrowly defeated the Fehervar Enthroners (0-3) 20-19 in overtime in the Austrian Football League’s third round of action. The game showcased intense competition, as both teams fought tooth and nail for every yard and point.
Vikings take early lead
The Enthroners started strong, with kicker Zalán Halász contributing two field goals and an extra point after a touchdown from quarterback Javarian Smith, giving them a 13-0 lead. However, the Vikings responded just before halftime, as receiver Maximilian Moser put six points on the board, narrowing the gap to 13-6.
Second half comeback
The Vikings came out firing in the second half. Running back Patrick Welte powered into the end zone, and Felix Schuster’s successful PAT tied the game at 13-13.
