AFI and Austrian Federation of American Football strike livestreaming deal

American Football International, AFI, and the  Austrian Federation of American Football, AFBÖ, have reached an agreement for the exclusive digital distribution of the historic best-of-five Austrian Football League Championship series on AFI.tv to a global audience.

With this, the AFBÖ joins Finland, Denmark, Poland and the four teams in Sweden in partnering with American Football International and AFI.tv to livestream their games to an international audience.

Through this agreement, which is strictly for this special series, AFI on its own distribution platform, will handle the  international distribution and marketing of live broadcasts from Austria. Game commentary will either be in German or English.

Starting September 5, the Dacia Vienna Vikings and Projekt Spielberg Graz Giants, two of the best teams in Austria, will face each other in this historic series.

The first game will take place at Eggenberg Stadium in Graz, Austria on September 5 and the following two, September 12 and 26 at the Ravelin Football Center in Vienna. Games four and five, if needed, will rotate back and forth between the two cities.

The winner of the series will be crowned Austrian Football League champions for 2020.
