With eight weeks of the American Football League Europe season complete and four weeks remaining in the regular season, the battle for the league’s offensive statistical titles continues to evolve. Berlin Thunder quarterback Jakeb Sullivan remains the passing leader, Rhein Fire running back Jonathan Scott has moved into first place in the rushing race, and Berlin’s Jon Cole continues to pace all receivers as teams prepare for the final month of the regular season.
Sullivan continues to lead through the air
Jakeb Sullivan continues to set the standard in the passing game for the Berlin Thunder. The veteran quarterback has completed 182 of 277 passes (65.7 percent) for a league-leading 2,225 yards with 22 touchdown passes and five interceptions.
Vienna Vikings quarterback Ben Holmes remains close behind after completing 146 of 207 passes (70.5 percent) for 2,091 yards, matching Sullivan with 22 touchdown passes while throwing only two interceptions. London Warriors quarterback Karé Lyles ranks third with 1,889 passing yards and 18 touchdowns, while Wroclaw Panthers quarterback Jameson Wang has thrown for 1,858 yards and 22 touchdowns. Rhein Fire quarterback Kenji Bahar rounds out the top five with 1,645 passing yards and 19 touchdown passes.
Scott climbs into first
A strong season has propelled Rhein Fire running back Jonathan Scott to the top of the AFLE rushing leaderboard. Scott has carried the ball 101 times for 492 yards, averaging 4.9 yards per carry while scoring six touchdowns.
Wroclaw Panthers running back Dawid Brzozowski (still injured) is now second with 472 rushing yards despite missing Week 9. Vienna Vikings teammates Albert Wiesigstrauch and Karri Pajarinen occupy third and fourth place with 451 and 441 rushing yards, respectively. London Warriors running back Andy Owusu completes the top five with 382 rushing yards.
Cole remains the top target
No receiver has been more productive this season than Berlin Thunder standout Jon Cole. He has caught 65 passes for a league-leading 912 yards while matching the league high with 12 touchdown receptions, continuing to fuel one of AFLE’s most explosive passing attacks.
Wroclaw Panthers receiver Michael Harley Jr. ranks second with 41 receptions for 774 yards and 12 touchdowns. Alpine Rams receiver Kevin Kaya sits third with 551 receiving yards and six scores despite playing one fewer game than most of the league’s top pass catchers.
The Rhein Fire duo of Harlan Kwofie and Kaylon Geiger rounds out the top five. Kwofie has totaled 537 receiving yards, while Geiger has added 535 yards and six touchdowns, giving Fire one of the league’s deepest receiving corps.
With four weeks remaining in the regular season, the offensive races are far from decided. Sullivan, Scott and Cole currently hold the top spots, but several challengers remain within striking distance as the playoff race—and the chase for the league’s statistical crowns—continues.
