Austria – Big 4 still dominate passing, receiving, rushing and tackling in Austrian Football League

With two games remaining in the Austrian Football League regular season the Ljubljana Silverhawks still have the top passing offense in the league as evidenced by the passing and receiving leaders. And the top four teams – Dacia Vienna Vikings, Swarco Raiders, Projekt Spielberg Graz Giants and Danube Dragons – dominate all the major categories.

Passing

Ljubljana Silverhawks QB Anthony Gardner remains the leading passer in the Austrian Football League after throwing for 246 yards and 3 TDs against the Mödling Rangers last weekend. He now has 2,610 yards and a league-leading 29 TDs. Dacia Vienna Vikings QB Kevin Burke, is 2nd with 2,306 and 29 TDs following his 294 yard passing performance against the Steelsharks when he also tossed five touchdown passes. His counterpart with Swarco, Sean Shelton, is third with 2,280 yards and 23 TDs. Brandon Gorsuch of the Graz Giants has jumped up into fourth after throwing for 289 yards and 5 TDs last week against Danube. Finally, Mödling Rangers Taurice Scott has dropped down into 5th and now has 1,809 yards passing

Receiving

Matic Tomse of the Ljubljana Silverhawks is still the leading receiver in the Austrian League after catching 12 passes for 198 yards and 1 TD in last week’s win over the Mödling Rangers. He now has 1,148 yards and 13 TDs. The Mödling Rangers offense relies on the passing of Scott and the receiving of Roman Namdar who has 786 yards and 16 TDs in eight games, or 2 TDs per game. Silverhawks receiver Eugen Sumic stays 3rd with 625 yards and 6 TDs. Giants receiver Philipp Sommer has edged up into 4th with 611 yards and 6 TDs. Vikings leading receiver, Bernhard Seikovits is now 5th with 588 yards.

Rushing

Danube Dragons QB Dylan Potts remains the leading rusher rusher in Austria (he is the 6th leading passer) with 903  yards and 18 TDs. Felix Stadler, one of the few bright spots for the Traun Steelsharks, has climbed up into 2nd and now has 807 yards rushing. Not far behind him is Blue Devils RB Colby Goodwyn with his 759 yards. Silverhawks QB Anthony Gardner is still 4th with 543 yards and is the only QB to make it on both passing and rushing lists. Giants RB Alexander Sanz enters the list at #5 with 524 yards and 9 TDs after rushing for 95 yards against the Dragons.

Tackles

Swarco’s Fabian Seeber has taken over top spot with 59 tackles after his 5 tackle performance last week against the Blue Devils. Cineplexx Blue Devils linebacker Jayden Dobbs  is still the second leading tackler with his 51.5 tackles total. Thomas Schnurrer from the Projekt Spielberg Graz Giants is also keeping pace and has notched 49.5 tackles in total keeping him in 3rd while Raiders linebacker Philipp Margreiter is 4th with 43.5. Danube Dragons safety Jack Moro has entered the list at 5th with 41.5 total tackles after recording 8.5 against the Giants last week.
