Austrian Stats Leaders unchanged as season nears end

With two games left in the Austrian Football League season the key stats leaders have remained the same.

The league leaders in three of the four categories have stayed as is with Traun Steelsharks QB John Uribe still in the lead in passing yardage and SonicWall Mödling Rangers WR, Eugen Sumic still claiming top spot in the receiving yardage list. Herbert Gamboa of the Prague Black Panthers retains the rushing yardage lead by a sizable margin.

There is now a tie for the tackling lead with Thomas Schnurrer of the Giants and Markus Bernas of the Rangers each recording 58 tackles so far on the year.

The SonicWall Mödling Rangers and the Projekt Spielberg Graz Giants each have four players among the Top 5 in the four categories while the Prague Black Panthers and Dacia Vienna Vikings have three apiece. Behind them, the ASKÖ Traun Steelsharks and Swarco Raiders have two each while the Amstetten Thunder has just one.

Passing

 John Uribe of the Traun Steelsharks stays on top of the passing yardage leader board and now has 1,941 yards. Austin Herink of the Dacie Vienna Vikings remains in 2nd with 1,856 yards while Giants QB Jake Kennedy has moved up to 3rd with 1,826 yards and a league best 26 TDs. Swarco Raiders QB Sean Shelton has slid one spot to 4th with 1,788 yards while Danube Dragons QB Chad Jeffries holds onto 5th with 1,734 yards.

Receiving

 

SonicWall Mödling Rangers WR, Eugen Sumic leads the receiving yardage rankings with 731 yards while Traun Steelsharks WR Mario Winter remains 2nd with 722 yards. Rangers WR Roman Namdar has climbed one spot into 3rd with 684 yards while Philipp Sommer of the Projekt Spielberg Graz Giants re-enters the list after a monster 4 TD. 177 yard game against the Traun Steelsharks. He now has 632 yards. Finally, Dacia Vienna Vikings WR Bernhard Seikovits has dropped to 5th with 589 yards.

Rushing

As he has all season, Prague Black Panthers RB Herbert Gamboa tops the rushing list after gaining 168 yards and scoring 2 TDs in Prague’s 52-21 whitewashing of the SonicWall Mödling Rangers. He now has 974 yards and a league-best 10 TDs. Florian Wegan of the Rangers stays in 2nd place with 844 while Graz Giants RB Alexander Sanz remains in 3rd with 638 yards.Danube Dragons QB Chad Jeffries is still 4th and now has 535 yards. Prague QB Dylan Potts has re-entered the list in 5th spot with 508 yards.

Tackles

We have a tie for first place in tackles as Mödling Rangers LB Markus Bernas and Graz Giants LB Thomas Schnurrer both now have 58 tackles. Schnurrer had been creeping closer week after week. Prague Black Panthers LB Karel Augusta is 2nd with his 39.5 tackles while Lucky Ogbevoen of the Dacia Vienna Vikings led his team with 8 tackles in the loss to the Swarco Raiders and now has 38, good for 3rd. Martin Dorner of the Amstetten Thunder stays in 4th spot with 38 tackles while Florian Albrecht of the Danube Dragons is now 5th with 33.
