Badalona Dracs rumble through Spanish American Football League; Osos Rivas & Las Rozas also unbeaten

The reigning champion Badalona Dracs (3-0) continue to steamroll their way through the Spanish American Football League after only three weeks of action.

The Dracs disposed of the Mallorca Voltors (1-2) 48-7 behind the passing of quarterback Hunter Correll. Correll threw six touchdown passes with wide receivers Taylor Ekstrom (2 ), Guillem García (2 TD), Raúl Cernuda and Edu Morlans the recipients.

The other five games were all shutouts as two other teams also remained undefeated in the 12 team Spanish league, the Madrid’s Osos Rivas and the LG OLED Las Rozas Black Demons.

Osos Rivas (3-0) blanked the hapless Santiago Black Ravens (0-3) 40-0 with quarterback Adrián Jiménez leading the way, throwing three touchdown passes.

The Black Demons (3-0) also engineered a shut out as they overwhelmed the Granada Lions 49-0. Wide receiver Evan Altizer caught three touchdown passes in that game while running back Marcos de la Mata scored two touchdowns on the ground.

In the livestream game of the day, broadcast by LaLigaSports, the Valencia Firebats (2-1) took care of newcomers, the Zaragoza Hurricanes (0-3) 27-0 as quarterback Fernando Altarriba was sharp throwing three touchdown passes, two of them to game MVP, wide receiver Alejandro Silvestre. Running back Antoni Montón was also a key factor in the win.

In other action, the Murcia Cobras (2-1), powered by a three touchdown performance from wide receiver Cory Holmes and four touchdown passes by quarterback Adam Salvadori, whipped Fuenfirola Potros (1-2) 41-0 for their second win of the season.

Finally in Coslada, the Coslada Camioneros (2-1) also earned their second win of the young season with a convincing 28-0 victory over the Gijón Mariners (1-2).  Alberto Egea, José Miguel Bayod, Alejandro Escribano and Emilio Ibáñez, with a pick six, scored the four Coslada touchdowns.
