Team Brazil announced Tuesday that it will bring a 45-man roster to Estadio Governador Magalhães Pinto (Mineirão Stadium) on December 16 to face Argentina in the first ever game between the two countries.
The last time the Brazilian Onças played was in the 2015 IFAF World Championship tournament in Canton, Ohio when Brazil finished seventh after losing their final game to Australia, 16-8.
Head coach Gabriel Mendes announced his roster this week and it will include nine members of the Sada Cruzeiro including quarterback Alvaro Fadini as well as nine from each of the Espectros and T-Rex.
The Brazilians began preparing for this game in March with four training camps which attracted nearly 200 athletes from five Brazilian regions.
The game is the first tune up for both teams as they begin preparations for qualifying for the next world championships to be held in 2019.
The game will be the eighth international match for Brazil but only the second one on home turf. It will also mark the 10th anniversary of the first game Brazil ever played, against Uruguay in November 2007.
