Brazil’s Gaúcho Bowl VII Dates Released – Porto Alegre Pumpkins v. Juventude FA

The Gaúcho Football Federation (FGFA) announced on this Tuesday, April 28th, the Gaúcho Bowl VII, a match between Porto Alegre Pumpkins and Juventude FA, will be played on May 24th, at 2 pm ET, at Sports Complex of PUCRS in Porto Alegre.

In the semifinals, Pumpkins won the spot in final by beating rival São José Bulls by 20 to 7, while Juventude won the Santa Cruz Chacais in overtime by 24 to 17. This will be the first match in an official competition between the two orange (Pumpkins) and green (Juventude) squads. Before, Pumpkins and Juventude met in a friendly in December 2014. The orange side won the duel by 19 to 13, in a match played in Sesi Field in Canoas City.

As president of the FGFA, Eduardo Ferreira, the Gaúcho Bowl was scheduled for June 7th, according to the dates available for the use of the PUCRS Stadium, however, the Federation worked together with the Finalists to made the Gaúcho Bowl was brought forward to May 24th.

“The choice of date was based solely on the availability of the stadium. However, because of intense work, we got the PUCRS could bring forward the date for holding the grand final.”

Argentina), bringing the lawn level as one of the best in Brazil. The stands of the stadium is covered and has capacity for 2,100 spectators, and cabins for referees and radio and television stations.
