Denmark’s Copenhagen Towers sign WR Mike “MJ” Williams

The Copenhagen Towers continue to load up for the 2020 season with the signing of wide receiver Mike “MJ” Williams from Concordia St. Paul University (NCAA Div. 2) in Minnesota.

The 24 year old, 6’1″, 185 pound native of  Orange, California, has just completed his college career at Concordia where in 22 games he caught 71 passes for 997 yards and six touchdowns. In his senior year, he started all 11 games at receiver and in 2018 he was named Concordia’s Offensive Player of the Year. Prior to arriving in Minnesota, Williams attended Monterey Peninsula College where in 2016  he was named All-California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) and All-Golden Coast Conference. He led the league in receiving yards and ranked second in receptions and receiving touchdowns.

Williams will also be heavily involved in the club’s youth programs, a subject he cherishes:

“I want to help as much as I can. Focus on being a team player. I want to make people around me better and learn from each other on and off the field. I love working with the younger generation and trying to influence them positively

When the young receiver began doing his research on football in Europe, according to him, it didn’t take him long to narrow his list down to Copenhagen.

““The happiest city in the world? I couldn’t be happier. You really are years ahead of the rest of the world, ”
