Defending Egyptian Federation of American Football champions, the Cairo Hell Hounds, have signed Brandon Ramon from the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies (NAIA) as their quarterback for the 2019 season.

In his three season playing for Aggies, the 6′, 205 lb native of San Antonio, Texas, threw for 1,909 yards and 18 touchdowns.

As the starting quarterback for the Harlandale Indians HS squad, he threw for 5,347 yards and 57 touchdowns in two years.

Ramon is excited to be in Egypt playing football:

“I’m super excited to be joining the Cairo Hell Hounds this season. From the first practice I can tell that they are very eager to learn more about the game and revolutionize the game of football here in Egypt. There are many guys on the team that are very self-motivated with lots of potential. I’m hoping to develop these guys and give them the knowledge and tools to compete with anyone around the world. I would also like to thank all the Hounds staff for the opportunity to help make a difference here in Egypt. The Hounds family has accepted me with open arms and there is no better feeling than that. Can’t wait to see what the season has in store for us. Let’s take it to the next level and defend the championship! “

Head coach Jon Wilderman:

“Brandon is a welcome addition to our team. He will really help us in our defense of the title. I’m a Canadian man who’s learning to walk like an Egyptian, It’s an honor to be here, among these men. I’m teaching them all what i can, and they’re teaching me a lot as well.”

The Hell Houndswho captured their first ever Egyptian National Football League title in 2018, will launch their 2019 season facing the Cairo Bears on February 1.
