ELF: Lists of midseason offensive stats leaders tell an interesting tale

The European League of Football has reached the midpoint of the 2023 season and the lists of individual stats leaders on offense shows some incredible tendencies.

To start, the two top quarterbacks, the Rhein Fire’s Jadrian Clark and Berlin Thunder’s Slade Jarman, are on a torrid passing touchdown pace. Clark has thrown 32 passing touchdowns in six games and Jarman 28 in seven. The record from 2022 was 36 which the Barcelona Dragons’ then QB, Zach Edwards, threw in 12 games. Based on these rates, Clark will reach a whopping 72 passing touchdowns and Jarman 48.

The Tirol Raiders top the list with three players among the top 15 on offense while the Berlin Thunder, Rhein Fire, Munich Ravens and Wroclaw Panthers have two apiece. Four teams – the Milano Seamen, Barcelona Dragons, Vienna Vikings and Helvetic Guards – all have one player on the lists. A total of eight teams – the Fehervar Enthroners, Prague Lions, Leipzig Kings*, Stuttgart Surge, Frankfurt Galaxy, Hamburg Sea Devils, Cologne Centurions and Paris Musketeers all have zero representation among the top offensive players in the league.
