ELF: Milano Seamen sign speedy British WR Tommy Wilson

The Milano Seamen have signed one of the top receivers in the German Football League in 2023 in British WR Tommy Wilson.

As a member of the Dresden Monarchs last season, Wilson finished the year among the top five in the GFL in total receiving yards (1.161) and receiving touchdowns (16), helping the Monarchs to a 10-2 regular season record and a semifinal berth.

The year before, as a rookie with the Oxford Saints in the British American Football League National South conference, he caught 26 passes for 452 yards (17.3 yards/catch) and five touchdowns.

The 5’11”, 196 pound Wilson’s athletic abilities impressed the Seamen during a tryout in Italy with an electric 40 yard dash time of 4.27 seconds (laser timed). That time would have put him in the Top 5 at the 2023 NFL Combine. He also pumped out 14 bench presses and had 6.9 seconds in the L cone and a 4.1 shuttle.

The addition of Wilson definitely gives Milano’s new quarterback Zach Bronkhorst a dangerous target to throw to.
