ELF: Paris adds ELF champion WR Cheikhou Sow

The Paris Football Team adds another homegrown talent with the signing of French receiver Cheikhou Sow as the fledgling club prepares for the 2023 European League of Football season.

The veteran pass catcher has experience playing for German powerhouses in the Dresden Monarchs and Frankfurt Galaxy. Now he looks forward to joining the Paris Football Team in his home country.

The 5’9″ 24-year-old caught 31 passes for 335 yards and four touchdowns last season for the Frankfurt Galaxy. The season prior, Sow caught 14 passes for 117 yards and two scores as he helped the Galaxy win the inaugural ELF title.

In 2019, Sow first played abroad for the Dresden Monarchs of the German Football League. As a member of the Monarchs the then 21-year-old made 79 catches for 962 yards and 12 touchdowns, along with adding 165 return yards, making him one of league best European weapons.

Prior to playing in Germany, the French talent played for the Asnieres-sur-seine Molosses in France winning the U19 title and earning himself a spot on the French National team.

Cheikhou Sow joins a long list of signings this week for Paris’s growing roster as they’ve added All-Star receiver Kyle Sweet and running back Jason Aguemon already, giving the Paris team a few intriguing playmakers for head coach Marc Mattioli to work with already.
