Europe’s Top 20 – Allgäu Makes Statement, London Blitz Overtake Warriors

Only a few games remain in the club seasons in Europe with Germany, Sweden, Finland, UK, and Denmark still playing. But there are still a few surprises since the last Top 20 two weeks ago.

The #1 Braunschweig New Yorker Lions continue to dominate the German Football League though topping the hapless Dusseldorf Panther 56-0.

Austria’s Swarco Raiders stay at #2 after an outstanding season.

The Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns are at #3 while the Dresden Monarchs are still a solid #4 after they manhandled the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes. The St. Ouen Cougars from France, who have finished their season, stay at #5.

The Allgäu Comets jump up into the #6 spot with their win over the Stuttgart Scorpions while the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes drop to #9 after losing 52-20 to the Dresden Monarchs.

The Tyresö Royal Crowns finished the Swedish regular season off strong and stay at #7. The Carlstad Crusaders move up one spot to #8.

With many teams seasons’ completed their was little to no movement among the rest of the field. Austrian runner’s up the Vienna Vikings come in a #10 and Czech champions, the Prague Black Panthers are #11.

In Great Britain though, the London Blitz upset the London Warriors two weeks ago bumping them down to and taking a leap back to #16 with the Warriors at #18.

We have been remiss and reinserted the Stuttgart Scorpions back on the list at #12. Poland’s back-t0-back title winners the Gydnia Seahawks are #15 with the Swiss champions Calanda Broncos at #13. France’s runner-ups Thonon Black Panthers are at #14 and Italian champions the Milano Seamen are at #17. The Serbian champions, the Novi Sad Dukes stay at #19 with Germany’s Saarland Hurricanes at #20 to round out the TOP 20!

There are a number of teams knocking on the door and who maybe should be on the list. Denmark’s Triangle Razorbacks are playing well and have been on as well as the Wroclaw Panthers from Poland. Serbia’s Vukovi Belgrade could very well be on the list too. We are certain you have plenty of comments and we would love to hear them. If you don’t like our rankings let us know!
