This is the Top 20 for August 7th, 2014.
Again this week, Vincent Lelard has been invaluable in helping with our Top 20 rankings. Despite the fact that so many countries have finished their seasons, this week saw plenty of fireworks and it has affected the rankings.The unsettled atmosphere in Berlin may have affected the team as they lost at home to Kiel in a key game for the Adler. They have fallen further down the list. Braunschweig, on the other hand, found a way to turn their game around against Dresden in the second half, and are making an argument for becoming number one again. The Dresden Monarchs may have lost and slid one spot, but they can give any team nightmares. Kiel is very well coached and getting healthy and playing the best football at the right time of year. They have moved up a spot. The Schwabisch Hall Unicorns were very impressive in their win over previously undefeated Stuttgart and have jumped up.
In Sweden, the Carlstad Crusaders are playing like a well-oiled machine and continue to perform at a high level every week. Finland’s Helsinki Roosters, re-found their form with new quarterback Sean Shelton behind center beating the Indians badly.
