Ticketmaster issues apology and partial refund offer for delays at Vikings-Browns game in London

Fans attending the Minnesota Vikings vs. Cleveland Browns game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London faced significant delays due to a Ticketmaster issue that affected entry. The hiccup had no bearing on the game itself, as the Vikings managed to rally for a 21-17 victory over the Browns.

Long lines and ticketing troubles
Many fans reported long wait times as they struggled to access their tickets through the NFL OnePass app, which is powered by Ticketmaster. The ticketing platform acknowledged the problem, describing it as “a ticketing issue” in communications with affected fans. While the exact number of fans impacted remains unclear, the situation led to frustration among those trying to enter the stadium before kickoff.

Compensation for affected fans
In response to the delays, Ticketmaster offered a partial refund credit worth 50% of the ticket’s face value to account holders. This credit can be applied toward tickets for the upcoming game between the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets at the same venue or converted into a Ticketmaster gift card for future events.

Commitment to improvement
Ticketmaster expressed regret over the experience, stating it fell short of the standards expected on behalf of the NFL. Both Ticketmaster and the NFL emphasized that the operation to admit ticket holders was coordinated with the stadium’s operations team, ensuring that all fans eventually entered safely. As the season progresses, fans hope for smoother entry experiences at future games.
