Finland: Helsinki Roosters bolster defense with record-setting LB Alex Herriott

The Helsinki Roosters added All Star linebacker Alex Herriott to their 2025 Maple League roster.

The 5-11, 225 pound Hanahan, S.C. native arrives in Finland after a decorated four-year career at Presbyterian College (NCAA Div. 1), where he rewrote the program’s record books with 368 tackles, 30 tackles for loss, and 11 sacks.

Record-setting career at Presbyterian College
Herriott earned back-to-back All-PFL First Team honors and became the first player in Presbyterian’s Division I era to lead the team in tackles for four consecutive seasons. His senior campaign included 96 tackles, highlighted by 41 stops over his final five games.

Ironman consistency
The durable linebacker never missed a collegiate game, tallying 214 tackles over his junior and senior years alone. He opened his final season with an interception at Mercer and recorded at least one tackle for loss in six 2024 contests, cementing his reputation as a relentless playmaker.
