Germany is too much as miscues and turnovers cost the Finns early

In the opening game of Group A in 2014 European Championships, it was Germany who quickly took command against Finland.
The Germans stopped the Finnish on their opening drive, forcing the Finns to punt. After poor punt, the Germans went straight on the attack. They drove quickly on their first drive, going 38 yards capped by a touchdown pass for 22 yards from QB Marco Enhrenfried to 205 cm/6’7” receiver Aurieus Adegbesan. In the second quarter, after an interception by Donnie Avant, the Germans increased their led to 17-0. Later in the half, the Germans blocked a Finnish punt on the Finns own goal line, and German DL Thomas Rauch landed on the ball in the Finnish end zone for a touchdown. Besides, an unsuccessful field goal attempt by Finland at the end of the half, there there was virtually nothing offensively the Finns could do to effect the German’s defensive game, and Germany took a lead of 24-0 going into the half.
To start the second half, the Germans increased their led to 37-0 with touchdowns by Danny Washington and Fabien Gaertner. Later in the third quarter the Finns finally managed to get on the board and give something for the the Finnish and Austrian parts of the audience something to cheer about. A long and impressive play, a 64 yard pass from quarterback Miro Kadmiry to receiver Ville Kurvinen. Kurvinen caught the pass between two German defenders then rambled another 25 yards for the TD. Besides this it seemed pretty early that both teams knew that the Finnish team would beat Germany.
The total score in the game could have been even higher, if the Germans had been a little more focused, because they were better at everything stage of the game; offense, defense, and special teams. The only thing that troubled the German coaches , and safety Leonard Green in particular, was that they were sometimes a little careless with the many opportunities for interceptions, even though the Germans still still managed three of them on the game.
Next up for Finland is Sweden on Sunday, June 1st. Germany then plays the Swedes on Tuesday, June 3rd.
