Germany: Potsdam Royals sign QB Zack Greenlee

The Potsdam Royals have signed Zack Greenlee from the University of Texas at El Paso, UTEP, as their quarterback for the 2020 German Football League season.

The Royals finished sixth in the GFL North in 2019 with a 4-9-1 record.

Greenlee, a 6’2″, 205 pound native of Stockton, California, spent part of the 2019 season with rival GFL North team, the Dresden Monarchs. He threw for 3,027 yards and 28 touchdowns in 11 starts with a season-high 395 yards and five touchdowns in a 38-7 win over the Dusseldorf Panther. After transferring to UTEP from Fresno State, over two seasons he threw for 1,513 yards and nine touchdowns in 11 starts. In his senior year, he had seven starts in nine games and led the team in passing yards (818), completions (72), efficiency (93.9) and passing scores (four) and also rushed for 114 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He led the team with 103.6 yards of total offense per game.
