The Gladiators from Spain’s Costa Costa Daurada continue to build for the European League of Football, ELF, season with the signing of Ricky Lang as their defensive backs coach.
Lang, a graduate of Eastern Washington University, spent the last six years in various capacities at Occidental College (NCAA Div. III) in Los Angeles, California, the last three seasons as defensive coordinator, associate head coach and recruiting coordinator for . He was also the head strength and conditioning coach for the Tigers as he is also certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association for Certified Personal Trainers and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Gladiators General Manager Bart Iaccarino, is looking forward to the new addition to the coaching staff:
“He is another young coach who will bring a lot of energy to our coaching staff. Ricky is very committed to his work and to the young people he is responsible for. He always tries to help them as much as possible so that they give the best of themselves and achieve the goals set. He has had a very good career at Occidental College, and I hope he will repeat it and even improve it here with us”.
