IFAF Euro Flag set to kick off
Reigning men’s European champion Germany will open the defense of its IFAF Euro Flag title as the 2025 tournament begins at the Val-de-Marne Interdepartmental Sports Park in Choisy-le-Roi, Val-de-Marne, Paris, on Thursday, September 25 at 8am CET.
Germany faces Poland in on Field 4 as one of eight games being played simultaneously as a total of 155 games are scheduled during three days of action. Bronze medalist at the 2024 IFAF Flag Football Championships Switzerland face Norway at 10.30am.
Defending women’s champion Great Britain takes on Ukraine at 9.15am on Field 3, while Austria, who finished fourth at both the world championships last year and The World Games last month is up against the Netherlands, also at 9.15am on Field 2.
Host nation France is ranked third in the men’s tournament and sixth in the women’s with the women opening against Sweden at 9.15am while the men begin their challenge at 10.30am against Czechia.

Games played on Fields 1, 2, 3, and 4 will be streamed live at IFAF.TV with all teams featured on the live feed during the opening two days.
A record number of 43 teams (19 female, 24 male) from 25 nations will compete at Euro Flag 2025 from September 25 to 27. The excitement will build as the top seeded teams in each group face each other in their last games before the knockout stages on Saturday, September 27.
The top six men’s and top five women’s nations in the final standings will qualify for the 2026 IFAF World Championships to be played in Dusseldorf, Germany from August 14-16. They will join host Germany, African champions Nigeria and the five teams that qualified from this month’s Americas championships: Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Panama and the United States.
The 24 men’s Euro Flag teams have been placed into four groups of six teams, while in the women’s competition, the 19 teams are divided into three groups of five teams and one group of four. The top two nations in the final standings will qualify for the quarterfinals of each tournament’s knockout stages.
