LIVESTREAM: Milano Seamen Face Koç Rams In IFAF Europe Champions League Final Four

The IFAF Europe Champions League Final Four kicks off Friday in Wroclaw, Poland as Italy’s Milano Seamen take on the Koç Rams from Turkey in the early afternoon game and then the host Wroclaw Panthers face Austria’s Danube Dragons in the late game.

The Seamen and Rams enter the game fairly evenly matched. Milano quarterback Garrett Safron led his team to two decisive IFAF Europe Champions League victories over Serbia’s SBB Vukovi Belgrade and Hungary’s Budapest Wolves scoring 93 points in total and throwing seven touchdown passes. His counterpart with the Rams, Palmer Wilsie shredded the St. Petersburg Griffins (Russia) secondary for six touchdown passes and needed only one, a screen pass to Steven Strother to win the other.

The difference in this game could boil down to offense. The Rams held the powerful Carlstad Crusaders without a point with a quick defensive secondary which kept Carlstad’s deadly receivers in check. Safron may have to rely more on the running game and play action and versatile running back David Guthrie will be a key. He plays on defense and special teams as well and can cause damage there too.

Strother is dangerous both ways too so Milano have to keep him under control.

Milano lost a tough game to the Italian champion Milano Rhinos in Italy’s semifinals. The Rams won the Turkish championship for the first time in their history this year.

This one is too close to predict.

Kickoff July 22 1 PM (7 AM EDT) (Officials are currently working to resolve Internet problems at the stadium)
