IFAF Paris Secretary General Zorica Hofman resigns

In perhaps a portent of things to come, Zorica Hofman, the Secretary General of IFAF Paris, has resigned her post.

Hofman sent an email out in late December informing colleagues of her decision.

Dear friends and colleagues,

For the last two years I have been serving as IFAF Secretary General to the best of my abilities. It has sometimes been rough times fighting against so many odds.

There were occasions in which it seemed we were taking one step forward and two steps backwards, but it was always a pleasure to work for the growth and development of American football worldwide alongside people like you. It has been both a pleasure and an honor.

Now it is time for me to thank you for all your cooperation and support in this period and to wish you good luck in all your future projects. It has been an honor for me to serve IFAF as Secretary General.

For those interested to contact me after January 1st, 2018 (and please do not hesitate to be in touch with me, it will be a pleasure to stay in touch and to assist in any way I can) I can be reached on Z**********@*****.com

Until then, I wish you and your families all the best in the New Year.

Zorica Hofman
Secretary General

International Federation of American Football

Apparently, she has accepted a similar position with the World Minifootball Federation based in the Czech Republic.

Hofman was originally recruited by the IFAF Paris group in 2015 after working with the Serbian Association of American Football for a number of years as a commissioner and then Secretary General.

With the final ruling from  Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on which body – IFAF New York or IFAF Paris – is the official governing body for international American Football, still pending, is Hofman’s departure a sign of things to come?

Hofman was the most visible member of the IFAF Paris group along with Tommy Wiking and Robert Huber.
